About Fred

Fred Goduti is dedicated to a wealth management approach that is centered around his clients’ priorities – their families, their friendships, and their favorite things to do. Fred takes the time to truly understand his clients’ whole life, beyond just their money, which lays the foundation for continuing to navigate their financial path.

Personal values and central priorities drive the creation of a customized and dynamic plan for each of Fred’s clients. As their lives change and unexpected events take place, he helps his clients make changes based on their needs and choices. These plans are designed not only to help people’s money support their life goals but also to keep clients focused on the things that matter to them most.

Education

Fred joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 1995 after receiving a B.S. in Marketing from Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH. He later obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO, after completing a rigorous educational program and examination. Fred adheres to a professional Code of Ethics as a CFP® professional and completes strict annual continuing education requirements.

Additionally, Fred is a PIM® Portfolio Manager*, which is a certification issued by Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network based on experience as a portfolio manager; a specified level of assets under management; industry experience; and successful completion of FINRA Series 65 or 66 exams. Only a small percentage of Financial Advisors at Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network meet these standards.

Away from the office

Fred is an active member of family and church activities and enjoys traveling, hiking, golfing, and playing tennis. He also serves as a volunteer and former Commander of the local Fraternus Chapter, a mentoring program for young men about virtues. He and his wife, Amy, have eight children – Kathryn, Grace, Christian, Jake, Mary Rose, Clare, and the twins, John and Brigid.

For decades, Doug has built his practice on consistency, ease and trust with clients by demonstrating diligence, providing investment planning, and delivering solutions to executives, business owners and families’ most important priorities. Douglas is a PIM Portfolio Manager overseeing multiple discretionary, tactical strategies to fit various client risk profiles as well as income solutions and faith-based investing.  Douglas partners with Wells Fargo’s Private Bank and other premier specialists tailoring solutions for high-net-worth clients including zero cost liquidity solutions, private placements (private equity, private credit, private real estate), estate and trust services, succession planning, defined benefit/contribution plans, business valuations and exit strategies. 

 

Post-MBA, Douglas worked in Corporate Debt Products at Bank of America providing public bank loans for Fortune 500 firms. He also has nearly three decades of private business ownership experience providing a unique understanding of his business clients’ needs.  Doug’s industry experience includes: Healthcare, Private Equity, Financial Services, Retail Store/Sales, Apparel/Clothing, Foodservice/Hospitality, and Agro/Chemical.  In addition, Douglas speaks Spanish and has worked in Europe and South America. 

 

As a champion of improvement, Douglas has always strived to learn and expand for his clients. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2016. The CFA® is a graduate level, multi-year program that develops and reinforces a fundamental knowledge of investment principles, such as ethical and professional standards, economics, quantitative methods, accounting, corporate finance, portfolio management, and wealth planning.   In 2020, he earned the CFP® designation, solidifying the importance of financial planning in his process. 

 

Doug graduated from Miami University with a BSB in Business-Marketing. He then went on to earn his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the top-ranked Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He has studied International Business at ITESM in Guadalajara, Mexico and ESADE in Barcelona, Spain while completing an internship at Syngenta in Basel, Switzerland.  

 

Douglas and his wife Sophie have 3 gregarious boys - Jack (12), Easton (9) and Grey (7). He is an avid traveler, visiting 30+ countries and enjoys coaching and watching his son’s play soccer, baseball and basketball.  Douglas volunteers at several local churches and charities tutoring reading, math and finance.

About Ben

Ben began his journey to find his True North at Belmont Abbey College, where he earned his BA in Finance. At the Abbey he developed his professional and spiritual awareness and joined True North Wealth Management as an intern while competing for the Crusader’s Division II varsity tennis team. After graduation, he went on to pursue an MBA and graduated top of his class from Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a Tier 1 Global MBA program. Now returning to True North Wealth Management as a full-time employee, Ben is excited to bring his perspective and technical knowledge to the True North family, specializing in investment planning, client development, operations and social media management. Away from the office Ben is an active member of the Cornelius area tennis community and spends time volunteering at his church as a leading mentor of the local Fraternus program, a mentoring weekly assembly for young boys and men focused on faith, virtues, and development.

      About Julie

      Julie has worked in the financial service industry since 1999. Before joining True North Wealth Management, she worked at Stifel Nicolaus, Butler Wick, and A.G. Edwards & Sons. Having served in a variety of roles in the industry, Julie brings extensive knowledge of client service, operations, and wealth management administration. She previously served as a commodity wire-operator, cashier, compliance associate, and administrative assistant to a branch manager. Julie serves as a first point of contact for clients and helps address their day-to-day questions or concerns.
